Updated Skincare Routine

Hello everyone! Hope Monday hasn't been too harsh on you all. Today I'm posting my updated skincare routine - for months I went through different products and my routine was changing all the time. I've been using this current routine for a month now and I am really happy with it.

Morning:

St Ives Blemish Fighting Scrub - this is a great scrub because it's gentle enough for daily use, but abrasive enough to make my skin look glowy and fresh day after day. I love this stuff!

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - this is just a sample I was sent with my order but it is lasting incredibly well! I use it every day and there is more than 50% of it left after a months use - definitely impressive. I like this as a toner but it hasn't particularly 'wowed' me.

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser (light) - I absolutely love this moisturiser. I've used it for 10 months consistently and have encountered no problems with it.

Evening:

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - I originally received a sample of this about a year ago and used it a couple of times but hated it. I gave it to my mum and she loved it, then thought nothing more of it. The recent hype this product has been receiving in the online beauty community somehow managed to persuade me to try this product out again. Second time around and I utterly adore it. Removes every trace of make-up and leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated.

Lize Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - sometimes I skip this stage at night, sometimes I don't but it's included in the photo just because :)

Origins Out of Trouble 10 minute mask - I've already blogged of my love for this mask. It totally saves my skin every time I get a nasty break out. I will slap this on my face probably 4 evenings out of 7 a week. Love it. May I also add that it's price but it lasts a long time - a little goes a long way with this stuff!

Liz Earle Skin Repair Mosituriser (light) - as I've said above, this moisturiser is probably the best I've ever encountered. Really does the job.

Et voila, that is my current routine. Hope you enjoyed - if anything, you have learnt what an utter Liz Earle fan girl I am at present! Haha.

Yesterdays FOTD, and thoughts on Clinique Even Better Foundation

Hey everyone! Yet again I have been slacking on the blog front. However I have been snapping away at products and looks for the crazy amount of blogging ideas I have had all week long.
I thought I would start my first post of the weekend with a little FOTD from yesterday :)

Yesterday was nice and sunny so excuse the sunglasses I have plonked on top of my head in a rush :)

Face:
Clinique Even Better Foundation in Alabaster
MAC Mineral Skin Finish Natural in Medium
Nars Orgasm blusher
Nars Laguna bronzer
Benefit Speed Brow Brow Gel

Lips:
MAC Hello Kitty lip tint in 'Popster' (lightly dabbed on)

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Retrospeck eyeshadow
MAC Mulch eyeshadow
MAC Ricepaper eyeshadow
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Whiskey (taken from the UD Naked palette)
Dior Diorshow Extase mascara in Black

Clinique Even Better Spf10 Thoughts:
This was the first time trying out this foundation - I had bought it back in April but the shade had been too dark for me. Now that I'm more tanned I had to reach for a darker shade foundation and this was calling out to me from my collection.
Pros:
I wore it yesterday, as you can see in the above FOTD, and was pleasantly impressed to begin with. It gives a very dewy, fresh finish - even when set with a little powder. I was amazed that my skin didn't feel oily at all (due to the powder) but it still maintained that fresh faced glow. Love love love. It also lived up to it's complexion correcting promises and managed to make the red marks on my chin disappear - despite being a fairly light/medium coverage foundation.
Cons:
This foundation did have it's draw backs - by the evening I looked like a shiny mess on my forehead. I know most people touch up their face with powder throughout the day but I'm not that kind of person. I like to do my face in the morning and leave it all day. Therefore, I have to ditch this foundation.

I am now keen to try Clinique's Anti Blemish foundation - if anyone has tried it please let me know your thoughts below - would love to hear what you think :)

Small Haul.. MAC and Mulberry

Hello everyone :) hope you are all having a good Thursday. Yay for Friday tomorrow.

I thought I would share with you all my little haul from Cardiff yesterday which I am still verrrryyy excited about. Mainly because I made my first ever Mulberry purchase - eeek! Happiness!

First up, I went to MAC because I had £10 worth of points on my Debenhams beauty card that were crying to be spent!

I got the 187 brush which I had be dying to get my hands on for a while. I was previously using the 188 brush, which is great, but I found it too small to be applying my foundation with.

Here's my kitten Alfie, who was 'helping' out with my photo session.

I also picked up 'Speed Dial' lipstick, which is a gorgeous cremesheen.

Here's a swatch of Speed Dial under natural light.

Finally it's the Mulberry purchase.. which Alfie is just as excited about as me! Haha :)

Tadaaaa! It is the Mulberry 'Continental' purse in Tan :) it set me back £195 from House of Fraser and I think it is more than worth the price tag. It's just a timeless classic that is going to see me through a long time.

Below: the inside

Below: the back
I think the back zip pocket is very useful! I hate having to flip open a huge purse, flashing the notes and cards, just to get some coins out. It feels much more safer having a back zip section.

So there we go. My little, but very expensive(!), haul :)
