So.. my journalism lecturer suggested I research blogs.. vlogs.. and the like. I have been doing so for quite a few weeks and decided to jump on the bandwagon myself.
I'm sure my blogs will range in topics.. but mainly hair, make-up, clothes shoes and music. Yes, I am quite materialistic haha.
Yesterday I headed to Cardiff for a bit of shopping with my mum, and with a list of products in hand.. I headed straight to MAC.
I got some Blot Powder in Medium Dark... I love MAC studio fix fluid (best.foundation.ever!) but I find after a few hours my t-zone gets very shiny. So this shall be my new handbag staple! Tried it out when I got home and it stopped the shine, yet was pretty much invisible on top of my make-up. Genius product, I like!
I also bought Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, in Medium Dark. I have been setting my make up for quite some time with MAC studio fix powder but found it looks too caked on.. and the MSF I have bought is just the thing I needed! It's so light, you can build it up if you like a darker colour. I just buffed it along my cheek bone and temples, it gives a lovely glow. Absolutely love it!
I was also on the hunt for a new blusher. I let the lady take her pick and play about with clour on my face. I ended up purchasing a sheertone blush in Pink Swoon. It's absolutely goreous and goes beautifully with my new MSF.
After watching a smokey-eye tutorial on YouTube I decided to invest in the eyeshadow used, MAC's satin eyeshadow in Print. Lovely grey colour. I tried it out this morning and at first wasn't too impressed. I found the colour a bit flat and too harsh for my eyes (they're a dark chocolately brown). So I dusted some Collection 2000 Dazzle Dust (shade 15 called Angel) over it and it looked great! Definitely a party look which I'll be recreating for my next night out!
I've always been an avid Urban Decay Glide On eyeliner fan. They're waterproof and the colours are amazing. The black one (Zero) is something I use almost everyday, but recently found it's been smudging throughout the day and I've ended up looking a bit like a panda! So I invested in MAC's powerpoint eyeliner in Engraved, after it being recommended to me. Sadly, I found the colour on my bottom eye rim and underneath it quite light. Not impressed. It was no match for the strong black colour Urban Decay provides. I had to really go over the lines, and even then it wasn't black enough, it was more grey than black looking. However, I did like the powerpoint tip.. allowed me to do a perfectly straight line, and it was just the right thickness..
Finally, I picked up a new lipglass. I wanted something a bit brighter than the Nymphette shade I've been raving about recently. I picked up Pink Lemonade, and when I got home the lipglass was much brihter lookin than the website! However, when I put it on I was pleasantly surprised.. it's a light peachy pink. Beautiful!
All in all... a great couple of buys :-)
Will try to remember to post again soon xox
